Nestify Case Study

Nestify is a financial management application designed to empower users with tools and insights to optimize their savings and investment strategies. It provides a user friendly interface with features tailored to track, manage and grow financial resources effectively.

Competitive Audit

During the competitive analysis, i evaluated both direct and indirect competitors in other to gain insights into their strengths and weaknesses. I accessed their designs and features so i could identify areas where their products stands out and areas where they struggled. This analysis enabled me to implement both existing features from the competitors and improved on areas they struggled in which resulted into a product that stood out completely.

User Research

The User Research was done in other to provide me with informed decisions about the users due to carrying out a user interview with about 5 participants and then i analyzed the survey data gotten from the users and then proceeded to synthesize the findings in other to help me identify key users needs and pain points. The research further revealed that users prioritize ease of use, security and personalized insights which i used to inform the design.

User Personas

To gain a thorough understanding about the users needs and concerns, i conducted both primary and secondary research involving interviews and surveys. This inclusive approach encompassed participants from various backgrounds.

Information Architecture

Information Architecture is the backbone of any user friendly design so i went further to provide a clear roadmap for the users in other for them to easily navigate and interact with the product due to the way i organized the contents which aligns perfectly with user's expectations and behaviors while ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

User Flow

This involved me observing everything users did on the project which included places they interacted with and not, things they prioritized over others which then helped me to refined the flows in other to create something more smooth and easily to use

User Journey

During the user journey mapping, i was able to pin point critical moments where users hesitated during one of the interview sessions so immediately after the call, i addressed it by simplifying the approach . Additionally, i added a daily financial tips to the home screen, providing users with more actionable insights that encouraged regular interactions and financial literacy.

Empathy Mapping

I created a simple story about some of the users who used the project in other to figure out what they do on the application, what they say during engagements, how they look, what they might be thinking while trying to accomplish a task during the session.

Ideation

During the ideation stage, i brainstormed to capture the essence of the application, i wanted something catchy yet meaning, something that would resonate well with the target audience and convey the value preposition of the application effectively.

Hi-Fi Wireframes

To gain a thorough understanding of user needs and concerns I created a high fidelity wireframes after testing out the low fidelity wireframes with our users, i then went further to make the visuals more appealing by adding colors and interactions ensuring every element is strategically placed for optimal user experience.

Usability Testing

During the usability testing phase, i observed closely how users interacted with the prototype from the nodding of their heads to the expressions on their faces when they successfully carried out a task so when they were done testing the prototype, i asked them some follow up questions in areas they struggled with and there went ahead to express their challenges which were areas of the designs that wasn’t catered for and immediately i ideated on some possible solutions and then iterated on the designs and below is some of the designs that were improved upon.

While during the usability testing session with some of our users, our attention was drawn to the need of having a “notification icon”, “See all button” and a “Know your customer” Reminder text verification section (KYC). So after ideating on what content i should add to the home screen and where the features should be which lasted for a couple of hours then i finally got it and iterated on the designs and when i was done i reached out to our users and organized a quick session with them again where we allowed them to test the improved designs on the home screen and in their words the experience was smooth another user said it was easy to navigate through and another user said the user interface is friendly and how she was able to understand what each elements mean at a glance.

While still testing the designs with the users, One of the users brought up a very valid observation which was concerning him withdrawing his savings and “how he expects when he navigates to his savings screen, he expects to see a withdrawal button’ so i took that into consideration while recording the users as they were testing the prototypes and then after the meeting, i ideated on the designs and improved on it which i then later contacted the same users and organize a quick session with them where they tested the improved designs and were satisfied.
